Timken^® Solid Lube

In harsh environments, grease and oil can leak, wash out or attract contamination — and relubrication isn’t always practical. When lubrication breaks down, bearings can overheat and wear prematurely, leading to unplanned downtime and higher maintenance burden.

Timken Solid Lube is a resilient, customized mixture of polymers, oils and additives that fills the free volume inside a bearing. 

• Polymer Solid Lube: A microporous polymer structure enriched with oils and additives to support continuous lubrication. This formulation contains, on average, three times more oil than conventional greases. 
• Graphite Solid Lube: A graphite-based formulation mixed with additives and binders that is injected into the free space of the bearing and heat-cured into a solid structure. Once solidified, it forms a free-rotating lubricant structure for ball and roller bearings and other rotating components.

Options include:

• Standard Polymer Solid Lube (VSL609): General-purpose polymer solid lube.
• Food-Grade Polymer Solid Lube (FVSL613): NSF H1-registered synthetic oil designed for food and beverage applications and caustic wash-down environments.
• High-Temperature Food-Grade Polymer Solid Lube (FVSL528): NSF H1-approved option suitable for operating environments up to 176°C (350°F).
• High-Temperature Graphite Food-Grade Solid Lube (FVSL525): NSF H1-approved option suitable for operating environments up to 232°C (450°F).
• Extreme Chemical-Resistant High-Temperature Solid Lube (FVSL531): NSF H1-approved formula combining food safety with strong chemical resistance for harsh processing/wash-down environments.

Timken Solid Lube helps keep bearings lubricated continuously by delivering oil where it’s needed during operation. By filling the bearing’s free volume, it can help resist contamination and reduce grease or oil leakage, supporting cleaner operation. With formulations for food-grade, high-temperature and chemically aggressive environments, Solid Lube supports reliability, longer service intervals and reduced maintenance — especially where relubrication is difficult or operating conditions are demanding.
