These bearings are made to ISO P6 boundary tolerances with P5 controlled runout, which is tighter than P6.
The RY configuration has a plain one-piece inner ring and two outer rings, each with three integrated thrust ribs. Two brass finger-type cages are used, which are piloted off the outer rings. The RY design is available in bore sizes 145 mm to 340 mm and is primarily used in work roll positions in strip and long product mills.
The RX configuration has a two-piece plain inner ring, two outer rings with integral center thrust ribs and three seperable thrust ribs. Four roller-riding, pin-type cages are used, which maximizes the number of rollers and the bearing's radial capacity. The RX design is available in bore sizes from 300 mm to 1040 mm and is primarily used in the back-up roll position.
Note: The RY and RX bearings are both available with tapered bores and are referred to as RYK and RXK bearings, respectively.
To meet DIN and ISO standards for repair jobs, we will hold the diameter under rollers. We skin grind the outer race and use oversize rollers to hold the original design dimensions.
