Andreas Roellgen is vice president of Europe, Asia and Africa and an officer of The Timken Company.
Named to his current position in 2016, Roellgen leads the company’s strategy to grow its presence, market share and profitable sales across Europe, China, India, Russia, Asia Pacific and Africa. Roellgen drives a customer-centric culture, which is focused on leveraging technology to solve complex engineering challenges and provide industry-leading customer service and product reliability to grow Timken’s global industrial leadership.
Under Roellgen’s direction, Timken has developed into a technical and commercial leader in renewable energy, which has tripled in revenue to become the company’s largest market sector. In addition, Roellgen is responsible for significantly growing Timken’s position in China and India by expanding the company’s value proposition and product portfolio through organic growth and acquisitions.
Previously, Roellgen served as Timken’s managing director of Europe and vice president of process industries with responsibility for the company’s engineered bearings business in the global heavy industries, power transmission and energy markets. He also held the position of director or manufacturing and supply chain Europe, helping to transform the company’s manufacturing and service footprint, as well as positions in corporate strategy and new business development in Europe and the US. Roellgen began his Timken career in 1997.
Roellgen earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Technische Universität München, Germany, and a master’s degree in business administration from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France.
