Expansion Units

Timken’s expansion units – with a pillow-block design – can be used where thermal expansion of the shaft is present. These units are available with full-width, eccentric-locking bearing inserts. Our heavy-duty series bearings have loose internal clearance.

Design Attributes

• Self-aligning ring allows initial alignment with shaft and axial float during operation.
• Popular sizes come complete with a spacer ring to make unit „fixed” or „float” side.
• Enclosed units include oil-tight seals to allow oil or grease lubrication.
