Overview

Timken India Limited, a Timken Company subsidiary, started manufacturing bearings in India nearly three decades ago and today has state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Jamshedpur and Bharuch to serve local bearing market needs and beyond. Employing the highly collaborative technical selling model for which Timken is known, the India team works directly with large OEM customers and with end users through a network of authorized distributors to make design and application recommendations to optimize performance and reliability. The Timken Technology Centre in Bangalore, one of four such centres in the world, provides customers access to engineering expertise and the latest technological advancements. We also offer a breadth of bearing repair and related mechanical power transmission services to our customers.

Aligned with Timken’s global manufacturing standards, Timken India established its first production facility in Jamshedpur in 1987. Over the decades, the company has earned a strong reputation through continuous innovation in bearing technology and by delivering friction-management solutions that enhance equipment performance, efficiency, and service life.

Today, Timken operates a modern manufacturing facility in Jamshedpur and two advanced plants in Bharuch, serving customers across India and around the world. Leveraging Timken’s collaborative technical-selling approach, our team partners closely with major OEMs and end users, through a widespread distributor network, to deliver design and application recommendations that enhance performance and reliability.

Timken Engineering and Research India Private Limited

Timken Engineering and Research India Private Limited, a subsidiary of The Timken Company, is a key global innovation and development centre for Timken. Known as the Bangalore Technology Center, it gives customers access to extensive engineering expertise and advanced technical capabilities.

The centre provides product design, application engineering and technical services that improve reliability, reduce operating costs and enhance productivity. In addition, the Bangalore facility contributes to manufacturing process development, information technology and shared services, offering strategic support to Timken’s operations worldwide.
