Carolyn E. Cheverine is executive vice president, general counsel and secretary as well as an officer of The Timken Company.
Named to this position in 2017, Cheverine leads a team that provides legal counsel and support for the company’s global business activities, including acquisitions and affiliations, corporate governance, ethics, compliance and governmental affairs.
Prior to joining Timken, Cheverine served as vice president and chief counsel, tax and international transactions at Eaton Corporation in Cleveland, Ohio. Prior to her role at Eaton, Cheverine was vice president, general counsel and secretary of Cliffs Natural Resources Inc.
She serves on the board of the Western Reserve Historical Society and the Cleveland Play House, where she is a member of the executive and finance committees. Cheverine holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a JD from the University of Virginia Law School.
