Ronald J. Myers is executive vice president of human resources and an officer of The Timken Company. Named to his current position in 2015, he was elected an officer of the company in 2016.
Ron leads a global team that fosters employee growth, engagement and success throughout the company’s operations. His team works closely with company leaders to align global human resource objectives with business strategies and operating plans, while creating an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought is valued.
In 1982, Ron started his Timken career as an industrial systems engineering technician and subsequently held positions in several departments including associate development, continuous improvement, and environmental, health and safety. In 1999, he transferred to a company subsidiary as general manager of organizational advancement, purchasing and logistics. Ron returned to Timken headquarters in 2003 as director of organizational advancement, was named vice president of business process advancement in 2007 and assumed the role of vice president of organizational advancement in 2009.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management and business education from Baldwin Wallace University and a master’s degree in business administration from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Business in Cleveland, Ohio. Ron serves on The Timken Company Charitable & Educational Fund board of trustees and the board of CommQuest, a drug, alcohol and behavioral health agency based in Canton, Ohio.
