Hans Landin serves as group vice president and is an officer of The Timken Company. Named to his current position in 2014, he was elected an officer of the company in 2019.
Hans is responsible for driving and leading the company’s growth in power transmission markets with a portfolio that includes industrial belts, chain, couplings, clutches and brakes, lubrication systems and linear motion products.
Hans previously served as vice president of business advancement. Named to that position in 2012, he led an organization responsible for accelerating and sustaining profitable growth in support of the company’s strategy. He also served as director of process industries original equipment and wind energy, expanding the business and its global customer base.
In 2007, he served as director of rail and had overall responsibility for the company’s global rail business. Prior to that, Hans was operations manager at several Timken facilities and also served as manager of global market development, with a focus on Asia.
Hans joined Timken in 1996, and held various sales positions in Europe until he relocated to the United States as regional manager of industrial original equipment sales in 2002.
Hans earned a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Chalmers University in Sweden.
