Tubing shipped on random-length orders has a length spread of 7 feet (2.1 metres) with a mean length 10 feet to 26 feet (3 to 8 metres) unless otherwise specified.
Multiple Lengths
For tubing ordered in multiple lengths, it is standard practice for customers to make their own allowances for loss of steel due to cutting operations. These allowances vary from one customer to another due to cutting practices and the amount of facing required on the ends of the part. Therefore, tubing is furnished to the multiple length as specified by the individual customer.
