The Timken Company is the world's largest manufacturer of seamless steel mechanical tubing. Industries that depend on our mechanical tubing include automotive, aircraft, railroad, textile, mining, anti-friction bearing, oil and gas well drilling, machine tool, construction equipment and farm machinery.
Complete integration of our melting, rolling, piercing and finishing operations guarantees the finest quality control from melt to finish. Available physical conditions include hot rolled, cold drawn, Rotorolled® and rough turned. Tubing can be supplied with a variety of annealing and hardening thermal treatments, including simultaneous OD/ID quenching.
Timken® Seamless Steel Mechanical Tubing is used to make finished mechanical steel parts. It is produced in most standard carbon, alloy and intermediate alloy grades, as well as non-standard grades. Tubing may be purchased in sizes guaranteed to clean up at finished part dimensions.
Timken® Seamless Steel Pressure Tubing is used to convey fluids or gases under pressure. These tubes are made to resist high or low temperatures, high pressures, oxidation, corrosion or all of these forces. Pressure tubing is produced to standard specifications as well as to individual customer specifications, such as those for polyethylene plants.
