Elevated environmental tracking is now in place at a majority of the company’s facilities across the United States, Canada, China, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Poland and Romania (all ISO 14001 certified), with performance measured by internal and third-party audits.

In addition, more than 440 environmental, health and safety audits conducted at all facilities around the world go above and beyond ISO-certification audits, including follow-up action plans assigned to each location, with a list of sustainability and improvement measures.

Timken empowers its associates to be well-informed environmental stewards through intensive training. More than 3,600 associates worldwide received environmental compliance training in 2006, and 7,000 attended ongoing awareness sessions.
