The Program

Timken's Ship Direct program simplifies the bearing overhaul process by

combining our Timken Aerospace Bearing Inspection and Timken Aerospace

Bearing Reconditioning programs into one convenient solution, at no extra

cost to you. Specially designed for facilities without in-house bearing

inspection capabilities, our maintenance technicians oversee the entire

process for you - from the inspection phase, to the reconditioning phase,

to return shipment. You can have peace of mind knowing that our technical

experts are supervising every step of your reconditioning process, and

providing the high quality overhaul that has made Timken an industry leader

for over half a century.   

The Process

Each bearing undergoes our Timken Aerospace Bearing Inspection process,

where it receives a complete visual, dimensional, and functional inspection,

as well as a complete cleaning. If a bearing fails the serviceability inspection,

it is immediately routed to our Timken Aerospace Bearing Reconditioning 

process for reconditioning and final inspection. The fully reconditioned

bearings are then shipped back to you, cleaned and preserved in

vacuum-sealed packaging complete with:

	-		A completed FAA 8130-3 tag (with dual-release statement for international customers).
	-		A Profile Card containing the actual measurements of each main engine bearing.

Timken's inspection process is fully approved by the FAA, CAAC,

European Aviation Safety Agency, and Thailand DOA. These approvals

allow Timken the unique opportunity to inspect and recondition all OEM

bearings at a competitive price. We also maintain a Quality Management

System registered in compliance with the international standard ISO

9001:2000, and are constantly improving our industry-leading processes.
