Rail 202 Maintenance Training 

This three-day class is designed to give each participant hands-on knowledge of the systems affecting rail bearing performance. It also provides basic knowledge of:

 

  • Trackside inspection and bearing performance investigation
  • Bearing reconditioning
  • Shop procedures for mounting and removing bearings
  • Basic railroad bearing damage analysis
  • Timken Rail Bearing Service capabilities


The class is held at a training location near the Timken bearing service facility in Mascot, Tennessee, and is conducted twice each year.  In addition to classroom instruction, attendees will also get first-hand experience at a nearby rail yard.
