Ball Thrust Bearings

Ball thrust bearings provide optimum performance in high-speed applications, particularly where loads are generally lighter. Timken offers standard axial (type TVB) and angular contact (types TVL and DTVL) ball thrust designs.

Type TVB ball thrust bearings are designed for optimum performance in high speed applications and are very easy to mount. This bearing type provides axial rigidity, but is not recommended for applications where radial loading is expected.

Type TVL ball thrust bearings provide exceptionally low friction, cool running and quiet operation at high speeds. While type TVL is exclusively designed for thrust loading, it will accommodate some radial loading.

Type DTVL ball thrust bearings are capable of carrying thrust loads in one direction, plus a lighter thrust in the opposite direction. This type is designed with an upper and lower complement of contact balls and three race elements.
