TVB (standard axial) 

TVB type ball thrust bearings provide optimum performance in high speed applications. TVBs provide axial rigidity but are not recommended for applications experiencing any radial loads.

Size range:  127 mm to 404.4 mm (5 in. to 16 in.)

Design Attributes

• Rotating washer is usually shaft-mounted, allowing for easy installation.

• Fluid control valves
• Machine tool tables

The TVB bearing design features separable components consisting of two hardened, ground-steel washers. Precision ground and lapped balls run in a grooved raceway separated by a bronze cage. Other cage materials can be specified, depending on the application.

Most TVB bearings include washers of the same bore and outside diameter. Housings should be designed to clear the O.D. of rotating races, with shafts stepped to clear the bore of the stationary washers.

Standard tolerances for TVB bearings are equivalent to ABEC 1 where applicable, and higher tolerances are available upon request.
