CT (Computerized Tomography) bearing applications are among the most extreme environments for a bearing. Using a solid lubrication system the bearings operate at 400C–500C in a 1 x 10-6 mm Hg Vacuum, with speeds up to 180 hz. The bearing can reach contact stresses of 300–350 kpsi.

Traditional X-ray applications remain the most popular choice for imaging among hospitals and imaging centers. These bearings run at lower speeds with less contact stresses than a CT system.
