In addition to the surface and dimensional quality checks performed throughout our steelmaking facilities, steel product samples are also taken and evaluated using a number of metallurgical laboratory tests. Some of the more common tests performed include hardness, tensile strength, hardenability and microstructure.

The laboratory is also able to perform other special testing to meet individual customer specifications and requirements.
