Field Service Engineer 

Description: Direct customer contact and relationship building play a major role in the Reliability Solutions Field Engineer position. Individuals will be exposed to numerous types of manufacturing facilities, with direct access to critical manufacturing machinery.

 

Majors/Experience: BS in Mechanical Engineering, Associates in Science with two years work experience in Manufacturing Maintenance or a strong mechanical or electrical background, within the maintenance environment with a minimum for 5 years experience.


Training: Field Engineers will receive training and become certified in vibration analysis, infrared thermo-graphics, machine balance, laser aligning and ultrasonic testing.


Location: Initial assignment could be in any one of our U.S. offices. These locations would include Ohio, North Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Michigan, and Pennsylvania.


Project Areas: The Field Engineer will use those techniques to perform scheduled tasks throughout a facility in order to predict the reliability of the manufacturer’s equipment.


Requirements: The candidate must be willing to be exposed to extreme temperatures, heights, enclosed spaces, and a fast paced environment. Flexibility in scheduling and the desire to travel is needed to meet customer needs. In addition candidates should enjoy contact with people, have good communications skills, be self-motivated and enjoy hands-on work with machinery and equipment.
