Remy Inc. – 2007 Quality and Zero Defects Award
Timken’s operations in Mexico were recognized for their quality efforts by Remy Inc., a global manufacturer and remanufacturer that sells products primarily under the Remy Delco brand. Remy supplies original and aftermarket electrical and drivetrain components for the automotive industry.
AISIN AW – 2006 Technical Award
The Japanese supplier of automotive components recognized Timken’s support in developing the rear-wheel drive B-800 transmission for use in the Toyota Tundra pickup. AISIN AW’s production facility in North Carolina also gave Timken one achievement and three quality awards in 2005 and 2006, respectively.
Parker Hannifin, Germany – 2006 Supplier Award
Timken’s German operations were recognized as the best supplier of 2006 to Cleveland-based Parker Hannifin’s hydraulic pump and motor division in Chemnitz, Germany. Timken supplies needle bearings to the Parker division and was the only one of 34 suppliers to be honored. The award acknowledges Timken's full compliance with agreed delivery dates for the year.
Volkswagen Transmission Shanghai – 2006 Excellent Supplier
Timken’s facility in Wuxi, China, was one of only two suppliers to win a 2006 Excellent Supplier award from Volkswagen Transmission Shanghai, which is a joint venture of German-based Volkswagen AG. Timken is the sole supplier of needle bearings to Volkswagen Transmission.
National Association of Autoparts Service Shops – 2006 National Quality Award
Automotive technicians in Mexico judged Timken’s automotive replacement bearings on the basis of quality, technical support and other service. Timken was awarded the top recognition.
SISAMEX – Supplier of the Year for 2006
The Mexican manufacturer of heavy truck axles recognized Timken’s record of zero defects and on-time delivery for 2006. Timken provides SISAMEX with pinions and differential bearings for heavy truck axles that are used in heavy and commercial vehicles.
Crown Industrias Montacargas – 2006 Best Supplier Award
The Mexican manufacturer of forklifts, hand pallet trucks and fork lift trucks recognized Timken for achieving zero defects in supplying tapered roller and thrust bearings.
BorgWarner – Supplier Quality Award 2005
The TorqTransfer Systems division recognized Timken’s plant in Walhalla, Ga. Based in Auburn Hills, Mich., BorgWarner Inc. is a Fortune 500 company that supplies highly engineered components and systems for vehicle powertrain applications worldwide.
Renault – Supplier Quality Award
Timken was one of only three of 600 parts suppliers worldwide to be recognized by Renault SA. The French vehicle manufacturer produces cars, vans, buses, tractors and trucks. The company is well known for numerous revolutionary designs, security technologies and motor racing.
Toyota South Africa – Silver Supplier of the Year for 2004
The subsidiary of Japanese automaker Toyota Motor Corp. recognized Timken’s operations in South Africa for exceeding Toyota's standards for service and quality.
Bell Equipment Company – Gold Supplier Award
The South African industrial manufacturer recognized Timken for on-time delivery performance, cost efficiency and low warranty usage.
General Motors – 2004 Supplier of the Year award
Timken was included among a select group of 78 suppliers honored for their excellence throughout 2004. The U.S. automaker evaluated award candidates among its 3,500 suppliers worldwide on the basis of performance in quality, service, technology and price.
Parts Plus – Vendor of the Year for Product Excellence
The distributor network for automotive aftermarket products recognized Timken for its supply of bearings, seals, hub assemblies and rebuild kits. Headquartered in Memphis, Tenn., Parts Plus is one of the largest aftermarket program groups in North America, with more than 2,200 Parts
Plus auto stores and Car Care Centers throughout the United States, Mexico and Canada.
