Overview

Timken India Limited, a Timken Company subsidiary, started manufacturing bearings in India nearly three decades ago and today has state-of-the-art manufacturing plants in Jamshedpur and Bharuch to serve local bearing market needs and beyond. Employing the highly collaborative technical selling model for which Timken is known, the India team works directly with large OEM customers and with end users through a network of authorized distributors to make design and application recommendations to optimize performance and reliability. The Timken Technology Centre in Bangalore, one of four such centres in the world, provides customers access to engineering expertise and the latest technological advancements. We also offer a breadth of bearing repair and related mechanical power transmission services to our customers.

The Timken Technology Center in Bangalore is one of four captive Timken innovation and development centres around the world, which provides our customers a unique opportunity to access a global pool of engineering expertise and the latest technological advancements. It provides products, services and technical support that help equipment perform better. Customers rely on Timken for solutions ranging from design optimization, reducing operating costs and providing expertise.

The technology centre in Bangalore leads innovation in customer product & application engineering, manufacturing advancement, information technology and shared services.

Pursuant to a scheme of amalgamation approved by the Hon’ble High Court of Karnataka, Timken India Manufacturing Private Limited merged with Timken Engineering and Research- India Private Limited having its manufacturing facility at Chennai.

Set up in 2008 at the Special Economic Zone, the Chennai manufacturing plant is a world-class facility that manufactures and exports large bore bearings and advanced products such as matched bearing assemblies. It is focused on demanding applications in western and emerging markets. Using its outstanding product technology and application experience, Timken focuses on enhancing customer performance and productivity.
