One-Row Cylindrical Bearings

One-row, or single-row, cylindrical bearings are available in six types: RIU/RU, RIN/RN, RIJ/RJ, RIF/RF, RIT/RT and RIP/RP. Industry standard nomenclature is listed in parenthesis below.

Timken’s version of the industry-standard NU one-row cylindrical bearing is the most popular in our line-up, with the separable inner ring and the cage and roller complement mounted to the outer ring. No thrust capacity.

The N-type cylindrical bearing consists of two integral ribs on the inner ring that retain the rollers and cage. No thrust capacity.

Our NJ-type bearing supports heavy radial loads and has the ability to carry light, unidirectional thrust loads that are up to 10 percent of the radial load. Features two integral ribs on the outer ring and a single rib on the inner ring.

Also able to carry incidental thrust loads, this bearing type features two integral ribs on the inner ring and a single rib on the outer ring.

This bearing type can carry light thrust loads in both directions and may be used with a type RN or RU to accommodate axial expansion and contraction. Two integral ribs on outer ring, one integral rib on inner ring.

Also able to carry incidental thrust loads in both directions, and may be used with a type RN or RU to accommodate axial expansion and contraction. Two integral ribs on inner ring, one integral rib on outer ring.
