Kyle Busch cruises to 20th NASCAR win of season

Make it 20 wins this season for Kyle Busch, NASCAR’s dominant workhorse. Busch returned to his familiar spot in the Nationwide Series on Friday night, cruising to a win in the soggy, wreck-filled Dollar General 300. The victory was the ninth for the 23-year-old Busch in NASCAR’s second-tier series, of which Timken is a contingency sponsor. He has won eight Cup races and three more in the Craftsman Truck Series.


Tony Tames Talladega

Tony Stewart, driver of the No. 20 Subway/Home Depot Toyota, led the three-car Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) contingent at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway by winning Sunday’s AMP Energy 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race. It was Stewart’s 33rd career Sprint Cup victory, his first of the season and his first at Talladega. In 19 previous Sprint Cup races at Talladega, Stewart finished second six times.


Jackpot in Nationwide Series: Denny Hamlin Wins Kansas Lottery 300

After Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) driver Kyle Busch dominated last Saturday’s NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Dover (Del.) International Speedway by leading three times for a race-high 157 laps en route to the No. 18 team’s seventh win of 2008, Denny Hamlin took the baton at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City and delivered another dominant performance.
