High temperature steels are specially designed highly alloyed steels. These steels are commonly used for applications such as boiler tubes, pressure vessels and steam turbines.
The selection of steels for use at elevated temperatures is designed for their high temperature properties. These steels generally have higher resistance to mechanical and chemical degradation at elevated temperatures.
Example grades: 17-22-XX, 2CR, 5CR, 7CR, 9CR, 9Cr1Mo
