Mining and Construction Material

Timken has been producing steel for over 90 years, using it internally for bearing production and selling it to external customers. Based on Timken's first hand manufacturing experience and interactions with customers, Timken has expanded their metallurgical knowledge, improved production processes and enhanced operating practices. Timken continues to refine their steelmaking abilities, ensuring that every heat of steel Timken produces meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Mining and construction steels are used in a number of difficult environments.  Applications may require high strength steels in one case and impact resistant steels in another.  Timken works with customers to ensure that the ideal material is selected, whether it is a standard grade or one developed by Timken, such as our Impact™ steels.

Timken materials are typically supplied in long length bars and tubes, but can also be supplied as individual components, cut to size or machined to near net shape. Steel can be supplied in hot-rolled or cold-worked sizes, and heat treated to your specifications. Regardless of the application, Timken works with customers to supply a material that works best in their application.  This is why customers turn to Timken for innovation, quality and value-added solutions to solve their difficult steel problems.

Mining and construction applications include:
