Racing hub kits include the following components, each of which contribute to reduced friction and improve performance:
Quality Timken® bearings are engineered exclusively for performance racing hubs. True rolling motion conserves energy and reduces friction, while special profiles improve performance. Bearings feature enhanced surface finishes for reduced friction.
The non-contacting seal lowers torque, which helps increase horsepower. Also lowers heat generation and operating temperature, and no wear pattern equals longer axle life. Labyrinth seal design allows for stabilization of system pressure due to over-greasing. And, the OD coating is formulated to compensate for minor imperfections in the seal housing.
Our NLGI GC-LB certified, specially formulated grease offers a broad operating range (-40˚C to 177˚C, -40˚F to 350˚F). Synthetic PAO (polyalphaolefin) ISO 220 enables reduced slippage, resulting in reduced operating temperature, extended bearing fatigue life and improved wheel torque efficiency. Grease also is formulated to enhance protection against wear, rust and corrosion.
